This fall the GFO chamber players celebrated Halloween with an enchanting program which they performed at the St. Louis Public Library Central Branch and the Webster Groves Public Library. There the air  pulsed with eerie and exhilarating sounds in “Music that goes BUMP in the Night: What Makes Music Scary.” This free, family-friendly concert featured a dynamic Gateway Festival Orchestra chamber group that explored the intriguing elements that make music truly scary. Perfect for children and adults alike, the performance invited budding musicians to experience the thrilling blend of suspense and melody. Some youngsters got to try their hand at conducting—while having a hauntingly good time!
